Soulful sisters Beyonce' and Solange Knowles recently made an appearance at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Japan this past weekend. While there they attended a press conference for the Samantha Thavasa & Disney Handbag Collection. These girls have made international history, last year they were the first African-Americans to model the Japanese luxury handbag line. Also this is Solange's 1st appearance in pulic with new shaved head and not a wig! Solange made this statement via twitter last month about what people *cough* Bow Wow *cough* *cough* Soulja Boy *cough* had to say about her new bold look.
"I was not inspired by anyone but myself. I’ve done this twice. Did not care about your opinion then. Don’t care now. Don’t need your attention or your co-sign. Don’t want an edge up or a perm, because I’m not trying to make this “a style” or a statement. I just wanted to be free from the bondage that black women sometimes put on themselves with hair. This phase of my life I want to spend the time, the energy and the money on something else and not in the hair salon.I’m not mad at all of you that have made your opinions known and have sent negative energy my way. At 1st I thought she was trying to copy Amber Rose but I guess she was shaving her head for herself. Her new bald lil baby curls are growing on me, I guess. She doesn't look bad, it just bring her beauty out even more without all that fake hair in her face.
